Woofles my friends and welcome to my doggy blog – I am Sally! Some of you may have seen me hanging around on Life in a Break Down but 2015 feels like the year I should take my paws to the keyboard myself and blog alone.
For those of you who haven’t met me before, my name is Sally or sometimes SalSal – I am a 13 year old mixed breed of many sorts:
Yup that’s all me; what a wonderful mix!
I don’t really talk about the first 5 years of my life – but it all changed when I met Sarah, she wasn’t so sure of me at first, but I just knew we would be the best of friends and 8 years later guess who was right? Me of course!
Sadly my previous life did leave its mark, both physically and mentally – I have a torn ear and some teeth mark scars on my face and while my fear of everything is only of some things now, I do hate fireworks, other dogs (not all but most), loud noises and the unknown.
In the past 8 years I have learned to run, play with toys (and that squeaks from them aren’t frightening, they are fun!) and to walk almost passably on the lead. That barking at the postman is fun and that some dogs can be great playmates.
I might not be the perfect dog for some – but I am the perfect Sally.

i have a 10mth old puppy and we have no idea about her parents and brothers and sisters

Oh you’re gorgeous! My Pluto also had a tough start in life and he has similar worries to you but he’s fallen on his paws with us. I do wish everyone would open their home to a rescue dog, they are the best.xx
Bonjour Sally and what a wonderful family history! As you probably already, know both our dogs are rescues so no detailed genealogy here, although we know Saari is a Husky x Alsation and Harry a mostly pure Labrador. Harry seems scared of nothing and loves everyone where-as Saari is a real scaredy-cat and currently is in a bit of a tizz as Enemy No 1 came here yesterday – the butcher! She’s terrified of him, poor thing. I am so happy you have found a wonderful home and thank you so much for joining in with #AnimalTales.

Aww lovely SalSal 🙂 Interesting to see the family tree! We rescued our dog so not sure what mix she is. Doesn’t stop us guessing, not that we really care, we love her whatever. We don’t talk much about her start either, weird things she hated (wish we didn’t ask ourselves why) but she’s got past most of them & we working on the rest 🙂
